SUN HONG Curved Bow Roll


Bow Roll is known as Spreader Rolls, Bowed Rolls, Curve bar Expanders, Banana Rolls, Camber Rolls, and Wrinkle removing Rolls. Bow Rolls are available in rubber surface, hard chrome surface covering for non-sticking applications. Hard chrome surface Bowed Roller is used where speed is more than 300 meters minutes. If the speed is more, the bigger diameter is used to reduce the rpm of the roll.
Curved rubber roller has a certain arc in the longitudinal direction, it is fixed by the ball bearing and rotatable.
When the paper is rotated through the roller, it will be stretched in the longitudinal direction because of the certain curvature of the curbed rubber roller. The roller can stretch the paper to eliminate wrinkles and prevent the material in the cutting process.In other words, curved shaft fixed and the bending rubber roller would rotate well.

Working Principle

The difference between normal straight roller and curved roller is whether the axis has radian. In fact, we can think of a normal straight roller as a special curved roller with an axis radius of infinite days. In the process of paper production and processing, due to the shrinkage force of paper cross-section, the paper often appears wrinkles during operation. In the application of the arc roller, when the coil is close to the entrance span L of the arc roller, the edges of both sides of the paper begin to tilt towards the end of the corresponding arc roller, and then slowly stretch the paper to obtain the tension effect, so as to prevent wrinkling. When the paper contacts the surface of the curved roller, the edge of the paper will move further, so that every point of the paper is transported perpendicular to the roller surface.

Installation
Optimum effect will be achieved by mounting the spreader roll as shown in Diagram 1(Fig.1).
Long entry distance -A- short output distance -E- The material web should always pass over the concave side of the Bowed Roller.
Dimension "A" should always be twice the exit span "E". Dimension "E" should be approximately two and a half times of the Bowed Roller.
Note: When install the Bowed Roller please ensure that it is aligned both vertically and horizontally onto the material web As shown in diagram1(Fig2).
