Calender is used to improve the glossiness of paper equipment, calendering process. After the printing surface is coated, the polishing layer is dried. If it is necessary to improve the smoothness and glossiness of the coating again, it can be calendered by a calender. Generally, the glossiness of glazing is about 65-85%, which can reach 90-95% after calendering.
Calendering machine is arranged after dryer part and prior to reeler part.It is used to improve the appearance and quality(gloss, smoothness,tightness,uniform thickness) of the paper.The twin arm calendering machine produced by our factory is durable,stability and has good performance in processing paper.

Application

It is suitable for same trim width paper machine. And it is used to calender the newspaper ,cultural paper and industrial kraft liner paper,which can improve the smoothness,glossiness and tightness.at the end the paper will have even thickness.

Principle

(1) Calendering is a mechanical process that compresses the web and improves surface properties. Therefore, calendering reflects the quality standard of paper making and coating process.
(2) Calendering consists of three elements: pressure, relative deformation and temperature of paper and pulp rolls.
(3) The efficiency of calendering is the balance between the responsiveness of coated paper and the total amount of calendering. The response of coated paper is determined in advance by the characteristics of the paper and its coating.
(4) There is a limit to the total amount of paper and / or coating properties subjected to calendering. Beyond the limit, calendering will usually make the paper quality decline, and the corresponding loss of print ability.
(5) The performance of coated paper is the sum of the internal performance of the paper and the external performance of the coating (according to the recent point of view, the internal performance of the coating is also very important).
(6) Among the many variables encountered in the production of calendering paper, only five variables affect the control of calendering: pressure, moisture, speed, temperature and roller structure.
