The upflow pressure screen is a kind of slurry screening equipment developed by our country through digestion and absorption of imported prototypes. The equipment is widely used in the screening of coarse pulp, refined pulp and pulp before paper machine pulping, and has good working performance.

Characteristic

1. The upflow screening method shortens the residence time of light impurities in the screening area.
2. Heavy impurities are blocked and settled at the bottom to avoid excessive wear of the rotor and screen drum.
3. Softly dissolve the paper in the slurry to avoid impurity breakage.
4. The screen drum can be turned and used, which increases the service life of the corrugated surface.

Application and Features

Application
Used for screening waste paper stock.
The purpose of screening is to separate contiminants such as shives in mechanical pulp,and stickies,plastics,sand,metal pieces,and flakes in recycled fiber.
Features
1.The end of production into the pulp to avoid the heavy impurities to enter the screening area, drum sieve,long rotor life,reduce oprating coats;
2.Light impurities and stickies from atop the light residue tube discharge
3.Optional slit-type or hole sieve drum and rotor of the different forms to adapt to the requirements of the selection or roughing.

Working Principle

The pressure screen operates at all times under a positive pressure in the screen interior which may be of the order of 4 to 20 psi.Both accepts and rejects are discharged under pressure. The essential requirement is to avoid contact with air during the screening process and this avoids the generation of foam in the liquid medium.
