Application
The main function of the press section of the paper machine is to remove water as much as possible before the paper enters the dryer section to increase the dryness of the paper. Every increase of 1% of the dryness of the output press paper can reduce the drying load of the dryer by 4%. Therefore, it can save energy and increase production; in addition, the press section has the function of appropriately increasing the tightness of the paper, increasing the fiber binding force and paper strength, and improving the smoothness.
How to Install the Seam Felt for Paper Machine
1.Take seam felt into press section position(confirm seam felt Blue arrow direction same as PM running drection)
2. Pull zipper down
3.Use one small steel pipe (clean) or similar shaft to go through inner place of seam felt roll
4.Cut the existing felt on PM
5.Cut some felt strips from other old felt or prepare some ropes
6.Use cut felt strips or rope to connect existing felt on PM with seam felt(small pieces)
7.Pull the existing felt on PM to let the seam felt installed on paper machine.
8.Take away the existing old felt.
Compared to regular replacement of felts, it can save at leasthalf of the time and quickly achieve normal operation.
No need to move any pressure rollers, guide rollers, or fixedsupport devices, eliminating the safety hazards associated withconventional felt replacement.
