The Headbox is located at the begining of the paper machine.Headbox is the key part of modern paper machine. Its structure and properties play a decisive role in the formation of paper and the quality of paper.
1.Open headbox
Used for paper machine with speed below 250m/min,pulp speed controlled by liquid level height.
2.Air cushion headbox
It is used for paper machine with the speed of 250-600m/min and the pulp is controlled by air cushion pressure.
3.Hydraulic headbox
Used for paper machine with speed greater than 900m/min.
It can effectively disperse fibers. High turbulence headbox can produce high-intensity micro turbulence, which can effectively disperse fibers, prevent fiber precipitation and flocculant together again, and effectively improve the strength of paper.

1.level control
During operation, a stable air cushion must be formed above the liquid level in the headbox.In order to stabilize air cushion pressure and reduce pulse, liquid level control is very important.During operation, there are high liquid level and low liquid level. The pressure head in the headbox is provided by the slurry flushing pump, and the liquid level can be seen through the glass mirror above. When starting up, the valve controlling the liquid level must be opened. In operation, the two valves controlling the liquid level must be opened and closed. The separation pipe must be kept unobstructed.
2.pressure control
The compressed air is controlled by a pressure stabilizing valve, the set pressure is 8-10psi, and the flow is adjusted by the needle valve. When the pressure and flow are set properly, it is not necessary to adjust in the future.
3.Dilution water control
The dilution water pump is controlled by low pulse and variable frequency speed regulation. The dilution water is controlled by differential pressure, and the differential pressure between the dilution water head and the headbox head generally does not exceed 4 psi. The flow of dilution water affects the flow, concentration and banner of slurry pump. Under the operating conditions of the same paper machine, the continuous and stable dilution water must be ensured.
