Ceramic Dewatering Element for Paper Machine
Paper machine dewatering elements are very important equipment for paper machine wet section, they act as a dehydrator.
According to the different usage positions, they are respectively forming board,hydrofoil box ,low vacuum suction box,high vacuum suction box,and transfer suction box. In press section will use the felt suction box. The box material is stainless steel, and the cover is UHMW or ceramics material.

The material of cover panel mainly have UHMW and ceramic material, the ceramic material mainly have three type, aluminium oxide ceramic ,zirconium oxide ceramic and silicon nitride ceramic.
Ceramic have better wear resistance, stability, and better service life. However, the investment cost of UHMW material is relatively low, if the vehicle speed is lower than 400m/min, UHMW material is ok. If over 400m/min, we recommend ceramic material.
The silicon nitride ceramic have better surface quality than zirconium oxide ceramic and aluminium oxide ceramic such as low power consumption and low fabric wear. If machine speed over 1200m/min, we recommend use silicon nitride ceramic. Lower 1200m/min we recommend use zirconium oxide ceramic; Lower 800m/min we recommend use aluminium oxide ceramic.

The suction box dewatering is based on the suction effect of the vacuum pump, which generates a high pressure difference between the top and bottom of the paper to force the dewatering of the wet paper. It help to transfer the paper to the press section with a higher dryness.
In the jet-fixing process, the suction box is installed under each spunlace device. It adopts a vacuum suction type. The suction box sprays the water from the spunlace head on the supporting net curtain into the water vapor separator. After that, the air is discharged by the blower, and the water is sent to the filtering device by the pipeline through the pipeline. The moisture content of the web after water absorption can be reduced to 25% to 35%
