One of the most important parts of a pulp drying machine is the headbox. The modern wet end features an advanced dilution controlled hydraulic headbox, which ensures an excellent web profile both in cross and machine directions.
The headboxes are constructed of stainless steel and the frame is very rigid, tolerating high-stock temperatures. All the surfaces exposed to stock are polished to the required surface finish. For easy service, the manifold can be turned down for maintenance.
Classification
1. open type headbox
Open headbox (with two-distribution rolls) stock flow process,perforated rolls and other mainly equipment are similar with air-cushion headbox. A gravity head of stock is used to give the corrected by pond level.
Open headbox's work speed is mainly slow.
lt's suitable for the paper machine with working speed 80-280m/min as the requested design.
2. Air cushion headbox
The air -cushion headboxes are developpement of the origin, complrtely open headboxes.
Air Cushion type headbox can increase the sizing pressure to meet the requirements of medium and high speed paper machines.
3. hydraulic headbox
Hydraulic headboxes were designed specifically for twin-wire forming. A main requirement was small nozzle dimensions to allow a short free jet from the headbox into the gap between the two wires.The hydraulic headbox is suitable for the speed of 320-1200m/min.
Structure
The headbox is composed of a square cone tube, a hole plate device, a homogenizing roller device, an upper lip plate adjusting device, a box body and a spray device. The headbox is specially designed according to the working parameters provided by users to ensure the working performance.
Application
Used for sizing in fourdrinier wire section of paper making machine for producing the cardboard paper, corrugated base paper, writing and printing paper, offset paper and so on.
