In order to continue to dehydrate on the net, the method of high pressure difference must be adopted. Vacuum box is a kind of device that uses the high pressure difference inside and outside the box to enhance dehydration. The dryness of the wet paper is about 2 ~ 3% before passing through the vacuum box, and it can reach 10 ~ 14% after passing through the vacuum box, and the paper tightness is also increased.Vacuum suction box is used for removing the white water within pulp by vacuum suction.

Structure

The vacuum box is composed of box and panel.
1.Box body: it is usually welded with cast aluminum, stainless steel or steel plate, and it was also made of wood in the past. The two ends of the box are equipped with amplitude modulation device to adjust the width of suction port, but most paper machines do not change the width of the paper machine, so they are usually fixed after adjusting the closed position of both ends of the suction tank according to the width of the papermaking. At one end of the box, there is a suction port connected with the vacuum system.

2.Panel: the width of vacuum panel is generally 250 ~ 300 mm.

3.Material:high molecular polyethylene and ceramic panels.These materials can reduce the wear of copper mesh.
Shape of vent hole:Generally, there are three kinds of openings: round hole, long hole and slit. The opening area is 25-45% of the total panel area. The effective attraction area of long hole and slit is larger, but the friction area is relatively small. The panel adopts inclined long hole or herringbone long hole. If inclined long hole is used, the long hole of front and rear vacuum box is opposite.
