Product Description

Doctor blade is a common mechanical device in paper machine, which can be divided into two types: one is the blade used for cleaning such as rolls (including the roller of net / press section, dryer cylinder ); the other is functional doctor blade, such as coating blade and creping doctor.
When used for guide roller cleaning and in conjunction with the spray system, the blade is an effective tool to keep the fabric clean, as most of the machine surface contaminants are transferred from the fabric to the smooth roller. Doctor blade are often used to remove these contaminants to prevent the accumulation and re contamination of contaminants or damage to fabrics.

Principle

The blade removes contaminants and water from the roller / dryer surface by holding the blade in a fixed position and swinging back and forth under the same pressure, such as swinging on the smooth press roll to remove debris due to paper surface breakage.

Maintenance

Once in the maintenance period, the doctor blade is usually easily ignored. But some simple routine maintenance can keep the equipment running efficiently.One of the most effective ways to check the same problem is to check the blade with vision. The following table shows the different types of blade wear and the corresponding treatment methods. This inspection method is very effective.

The first very effective routine is to change the blade as often as necessary. When the blade is worn, the angle between the blade and the roller will change, thus reducing the cleaning efficiency of the blade. When the width of the blade is worn by 6 mm to 12 mm, the blade needs to be replaced.
The second important component that needs to be paid attention to is the doctor holder. Any damage to the doctor holder will affect the pressure between the blade and the roller, and the damaged doctor holder should be replaced in time.
During each inspection, the pressure device and swing device in operation should be carefully checked. When defects are found, they should be repaired.
