Press Roll

The press roller is the main component of the press device. There are many kinds of press rolls,such as vacuum press roll,groove press roll,blind hole press roll,size press roll etc.Press Roll is used for press section quickly dewatering and add the physical properties of paper.
Roller Surface covered rubber, The purpose of coating is not only to consider the corrosion resistance of the press roll, but also to provide good elasticity to ease the pressing effect of the upper roller on the wet paper and felt, so as to prolong the service life of the felt and reduce the "embossing" of the wet paper. The elastic rubber coated lower roller can also ensure the good contact between the two rollers, even dehydration effect, and compensate the error of the crown value of the lower roller.

 

Advantages and disadvantages of stone rolls

Stone roll is a common plain press roll. Stone rolls are usually made of materials that are easy to peel off from paper, and most of them use granite. The main feature of granite is that it has many tiny pores in its structure, which stores a certain amount of air, which is conducive to the peeling of wet paper sheets. 

Its disadvantages are high cost and easy brittleness. During operation, if the speed is too fast or the load is too large, the shaft head may be overheated, causing axial or annular cracks on the surface of the stone roll. When the high temperature expansion is serious, it will cause the shaft center to fall off.

Advantages of rubber rolls

The lower roll of the plain press roll is a cast iron roll covered with rubber.

In addition to providing the corrosion resistance of the press roll, the rubber cover is more important to provide good elasticity, and to ease the pressing effect of the upper press roll on the wet paper and the felt, thereby extending the life of the felt and reducing the "pressing" of the wet paper. The elastic rubber-coated lower roller can also give good contact between the two rollers, uniform dewatering effect, and compensate for the high error in the lower pressure roller.

The rubber hardness of rubber rollers when producing general paper is usually 70 to 90 Shore hardness. The hardness of the rubber rollers used in each press of the press section increases with the increase of the pressure of each press line.
