Requirements for dryer cylinder
Drying cylinder is used as a key component of paper drying. The number of cast iron drying cylinder accounts for about 2/3 of the total number of pressure vessels in the paper industry. The material used for manufacturing the drying cylinder is generally HT200, HT250. In order to increase the smoothness of the paper surface, the outer surface of the drying cylinder is required to be polished and the inner surface is required to be swan polished, so that we can ensure the safety , balance and heat transfer of the drying cylinder. The role of the drying cylinder is to dry the moisture in the paper sheet and decorate the paper surface.
Heat transfer
The saturated steam from the steam header condenses inside the cylinder, releasing heat that raises the temperature of the cylinder and heats the sheet running over the surface of the roll shell. The heat is transferred to the paper in the contact between the paper and the cylinder surface.
