In the production process management of modern paper machine, doctor blade is a very important part. It can effectively improve the operation performance of the whole production line, ensure the cleanness of roll surface, make the web stripping easier to control, and reduce broken ends and holes.

Function

1.Peel sheet :The doctor blade is installed at the correct position on the surface of the roller or dryer from which the paper is peeled, so as to effectively assist the production workers to bring the paper from the wet part to the dry part to the coiler.
2.Roller surface cleaning :The doctor blade design should help to clean the water or dirt on the surface of the roller or dryer, keep the roller surface or cylinder surface clean, and improve the product quality and paper machine efficiency.

Blade parts

The scraper is mainly composed of six parts :

Blade body	Good rigidity, accuracy and stability are required
Holder	There are rigid tool rest and self-adjusting tool rest. The rigid tool holder can bear the scraper line pressure, which is cheap, but the sealing is uneven. The self-adjusting tool holder has self-adjusting lateral deformation and good sealing performance.
Doctor blade	When selecting the scraper blade, the running speed of the scraper blade and the roll surface material shall be matched and installed at the correct angle. Materials include metal, plastic, synthetic materials, laminates, etc.
Wiggler	A proper shear angle is generated between the scraper blade and the roll surface to prevent dirt from accumulating under the scraper and keep the roll surface clean.
Pressurizing device	The design shall be convenient for adjusting the scraper line pressure.
Bearing	Self aligning bearing is generally selected.

Tips

1.Do not increase the pressure on the scraper blade that has been used for a long time and runs in with the roll surface. Increasingthe pressure is easy to roll up the blade edge of the scraper blade, but cause the tightness of the scraper. Therefore, the scraper blade must be replaced with a new one before increasing the pressure of the scraper blade.
2.Always check the lubricating and cleaning water of the scraper to prevent the spray water pipe from being blocked, so as to speed up the wear of the scraper blade.
3.Regularly check the deformation of the scraper holder and replace it if it is found to be deformed.
4.The scraper holder shall be kept clean to avoid difficulties in replacing the scraper blade
