The dryer cylinder for paper machine is a key part of paper drying, which is class I pressure vessel. The number of dryer cylinder accounts for about 2 / 3 of the total pressure vessels in the paper industry. Generally, the materials used for drying cylinder are HT200 and HT250.

Dryer Cylinder , heads and journals are made of special cast iron. Separate journals are bolted onto the dryer heads.
Dryer shells are ground on the outside and turned on the inside, while all dryer journals with steam or condensate
pipes have insulation sleeves.
Function
The saturated steam introduced from the steam joint is condensed inside the dryer cylinder, and the heat released causes the temperature of the dryer cylinder to rise, so as to heat the paper sheet coated on the surface of the roller shell. Heat is transferred to the paper in contact with the surface of the paper and the dryer .Steam condenses to produce a large amount of condensed water after the heat is released from the steam.
These condensed water is attached to the inner surface of the dryer by centrifugal force due to the rotation of the dryer, and forms a water ring at a high angular velocity, which hinders the transfer of heat to the dryer surface. Siphon condensate will be promptly discharged. When the speed is low will not form a water ring, but there will be condensation in the dryer splash, accumulation.
Common problem&Solution
Due to the high temperature and pressure of the baking cylinder during operation, the shaft head of cylinder is prone to wear and tear, resulting in the inability to operate the equipment.
At present, the more mature domestic rapid repair methods mainly apply polymer composite materials.Its more convinient and fast compared to traditional treatment.

Every dryer cylinder collocated with a wooden pallet ,each cylinder is fixed to the pallet by iron wire .
