Papermaking seam felt is an indispensable dehydration equipment for the wet end and press end of modern papermaking. The paper-making seam felt is loaded on the press roller on the paper machine to carry and transfer the paper.
The fiber net is formed on both sides of the base cloth by needling.
The fiber net includes the surface layer with paper surface and the inner layer with paper surface on one side of the base cloth, and the reverse layer on the other side of the base cloth.
The paper-making blanket removes the moisture of the wet paper sheet under the extrusion of the press roller or vacuum suction, which can modify the surface of the paper sheet to a certain extent.
Single Seamed Press Felt

Double Seamed Press Felt
The seam unit includes two layers of warp threads and seam rings, the two layers of warp threads are woven on the weft threads respectively, at least part of the warp threads of one layer of the two layers of warp threads pass through the seam ring, and form another layer of warp threads with the warp threads of the other layer of warp threads;
The joint units are connected together by their respective joint rings, the joint rings connected by the two are arranged in sequence along the direction of the weft to form two common holes, and the two common holes are respectively inserted with core wires for joints.
1. Selection of blanket variety, grammage and size
The selection of the variety means choosing the right blanket for the machine and the different parts of the machine among the many different paper blanket varieties.
When the type of blanket chosen is determined, the square metre weight of the blanket must be selected in accordance with the many factors of the paper machine.
The choice of size includes the choice of the length and width of the paper blanket.
2. Choice of permeability and density
Accurate selection of the air permeability of the blanket suitable for this machine is the key to determining the normal, efficient operation of the paper machine and the service life of the blanket.

Installation Instructions
1.Take seam felt into press section position(confirm seam felt Blue arrow direction same as PM running drection)
2. Pull zipper down
3.Use one small steel pipe (clean) or similar shaft to go through inner place of seam felt roll
4.Cut the existing felt on PM
5.Cut some felt strips from other old felt or prepare some ropes
6.Use cut felt strips or rope to connect existing felt on PM with seam felt(small pieces)
7.Pull the existing felt on PM to let the seam felt installed on paper machine.
8.Take away the existing old felt.
New seam felts are first run slowly for two to three hours at a speed of between 70 and 80, then after 24 hours at 90-100 metres, and after 36 hours at 100-130 metres, and then again at full speed. After a week of use, the machine must be cleaned once.
Washing woollen cloth must be based on the principle of acid but not alkali resistance for tapestries and alkali but not acid resistance for nylon, so that the detergent can be reasonably adjusted. The residual acid can also be neutralised by alkali, but nylon woollens cannot be washed with acid.
We use wooden boxes that meet export standards and are more than 5cm thick, so that the seam felts are completely protected from damage.
